GBM camp: M’membe also wanted the ZESCO contract hence bitterness

Post newspaper owner Fred Mmembe was also interested in the contract to transport Zesco electricity poles using his newly acquired trucks, disclosed Defence Minister Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba (GBM)’s sympathisers.

GBM’s sympathisers have said that Mmembe, also wanted the tender using the newly acquired Volvo Trucks through a bank loan under the Post Courier, but was beaten to it by GBM hence his bitterness and turning to his available blackmailing weapon, The Post newspaper, to crucify his enemies.

The Post newspaper courier was also recently awarded a contract through Presidential intervention to haul Copper from KCM in Chingola to Walvis Bay in Namibia. The Post was also single-sourced to print the draft copies of the constitution for distribution.

In the ongoing battle to succeed President Michael Sata between GBM and Justice minister Wynter Kabimba/Fred M’membe team GBM also revealed that Kabimba’s company Midlands Energy Zambia ltd was recently paid a huge kick-buck in the oil procurement deal by commodities trader Trafigura.

There are four directors to the company, Wynter Kabimba, Sylvestor Mwanza both Zambians with Noor Abdi Ali and Noor Aden Issack whose nationalities are not shown on the copy of the official registration certificate of Midlands Energy Zambia Limited.

This company was also hastily registered on 10th January, 2012, four months after PF came into power.
