Bravo Records relocates

THE Chingola based studio Bravo Records has relocated to Shoprite delivery lane near Barclays bank.

Bravo Records which is the home of the most happening artist Afunika was based at Nchanga hotel but because of management desire for more space have moved to the building housing Dr Datta’s clinic which is behind Atlas Copco.
Speaking to Times entertainment, the studio proprietor Brian Mulenga said relocating would help make better changes to the studio with more recording and client space.
He said the studio was mainly set up to tap the talent of unknown artistes who were finding it hard to make a breakthrough in the industry and was also primarily set up to help the youths in the district to become self-reliant.
Mulenga said Bravo Records was not a competitor studio to any studio in the country and the Chingola itself as the label had its own different agenda to promote which was to help the vulnerable children in order for them to realise their potential.
He said music is a direct reflection of the picture of society hence the need to add value to every song being offloaded on the music shelf in the country.
Mulenga said the studio had also the world class video camera for the purpose of the music videos for the artistes signed up with the studio and was hopeful many artistes would utilize it.
“Music is in many ways the fabric of our lives and the definition of society. It is a reminder of how things once were an indication of how things are, and a view of where society is headed. It is the perfect art and our lives would be that much less complete without it that life as we know it would not at all be the same without” He said
Some of the artistes signed up with the studio are Chiko Wise and KN Kawawa Eric Toyatoya, The Champions, IC, Landlord, Syndys and gospel artists are Tapson Mumba popularily known as T-Sanity and Sunny a.k.a as George Suninga.
