Roan Member of Parliament Chishimba Kambwili has told the embattled catholic priest Father Frank Bwalya that he is confused and should stop misleading the nation.
Mr Kambwili who called on Radio phoenix during the Let the People programme hosted by Sam Sakala, where Fr Bwalya was a guest he said all priests who forsake the Godly calling act as confused people whenever they left the calling.
Mr Kambwili who is also Minister of Sports said when he was reshuffled from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Fr Bwalya had approached him to form their political party, the suggestion he refused.
“Stop misleading the people of Zambia, whatever you are doing will not help you to gain the political mileage you need and those people that congratulate you are simply flattering you. You only want to serve your own interest because I know you as an ambitious man.
“You should be ashamed of yourself, and stop acting like a fool. The best you can is to go back to priest hood and serve the people of God,” he said.
Fr Bwalya had declared that he will now form his own political party and he will not join any political party to enable him to be answerable to the people of Zambia.
Outspoken Fr Bwalya announced that he is now forming a political party and immediately launched a yellow card campaign against President Michael Sata and the Patriotic Front Government.
He has asked other leaders of opposition to welcome him and has immediately called for a summit for opposition leaders.
The Catholic Priest who heavily campaigned for PF said he will register a political party which he did not disclose for fear of being sabotaged.
He said his team and supporters were set to register the party and if the PF Government stop him they will employ another strategy.
He however, said it is not a must for him to contest the elections in 2016 adding he will work closely with other opposition leaders and will be ready to step aside in 2016 for Hakainde Hichilema or Nevers Mumba to run.
Fr Bwalya explained that his coming out has send some fears saying those challenging him to form a political party were just politicking.
He said the PF were scared that if he forms a party or work with the opposition.
“Zambia is perishing because Mr Sata has no vision, his Ministers have vision but he doesn’t listen,” Fr. Bwalya said.
He said President Sata is not a messiah for Zambia adding that a messiah is coming. Fr. Bwalya said the President has alot of imperfections unlike Hakainde Hichilema who is being painted black.
Fr Bwalya said in his party the position of Vice President will be held by a woman and urged the opposition that would want to work with him to take note of that.
He also announced that former Youth leader for PF Eric Chanda had resigned and was his General Secretary.
He named Emmanuel Chilekwa as his Spokesperson.
He explained that President Sata had betrayed the Zambian people as he has not lived unto his promise.
Fr Bwalya said he had put in a lot for Mr Sata to be elected but were all abandoned.
Fr Bwalya said Mr Sata had been hijacked by opportunist and had completely changed.
“This is not the Sata we know, the Sata we know died a long time,” Fr. Bwalya said.
