Kambwili's remarks on Radio Phoenix were derogatory

The derogatory remarks by Hon  Chishimba Kambwili directed at Fr Frank Bwalya on a Radio Phoenix  Let the people talk programme on Friday 3rd May, 2013 cannot pass without comment.
I don’t think Fr Bwalya has committed any offence by resigning from Zesco as board chairperson to join active politics and should deserve such demonization from people who once called him a hero when he vigorously campaigned for PF prior to the September 2011 general elections. It is public knowledge that on 17th September, 2011 Fr Bwalya came with Hon kambwili among others to Chingola’s Kaunda Square where Fr Bwalya extolled President Sata while others denounced me as  an independent parliamentary candidate by alleging that I had demolished houses in Lulamba Stage three as mayor when in fact not. Frankly speaking, had it not been for Fr Frank Bwalya’s influence or presence at that public rally, I was likely to win the Chingola Central constituency seat but lost as electorates where urged to vote for all PF candidates. As such Fr Bwalya is not one person to undermine or write off as he can upset the political equation of this country given his popularity especially on the Copperbelt.
I want to take great exception to any person who claims that a clergy cannot be a politician. Where is it written and by who? There is a general misunderstanding that politics is a dirty game giving an impression that we politicians are like devils when not. There is a continuum between a genuine politician and a clergy as both aim to serve the masses. Therefore, without malice Fr Bwalya at 44 has a constitutional right either to form his own political party or back any political party of his choice. In this regard, it would be totally absurd for us to be a stumbling block to his political ambitions.
