Copperbelt Minister Mwenya Musenge says without journalism there cannot be democracy in any society.
Mr Musenge says government is committed that the freedom of information bill I is enacted into law for journalists to have access to information.
The provincial minister says the Freedom of Information is cardinal as it leads to good governance in the democratic process of the nation.
He was speaking this in Kitwe during the commemorations of the world press freedom day which was held at the Civic Centre grounds that had attracted scores of journalists from various parts of the Copperbelt.
And speaking at the same occasion Northern Region interim chairperson Misheck Wangwe says journalists plays a critical role in the development of the nation.
Mr Wangwe says without journalists development can not be fostered in the country..
