Gossip-over 1,000 employees at KCM to loose jobs

It is rumoured that over 1,000 employees at Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) will loose jobs following the request by the mining giant for employees above 50 years to go on voluntary separation.
The employee who spoke on condition of anonymity said the company had already started calling employees above 50 years at the Mine Club to encourage them to go on voluntary separation.
The employee could not state the reason for the move but said many had been invited already to go on voluntary service separation (VSS)
KCM spokesperson said she could not comment on the matter because it was bordering on an internal memo.
